Isabel Gálvez

About me

Originally from Lima, Perú, Isabel Gálvez moved to her second hometown, Cleveland, Ohio in 1993, where she and her husband Carlos raised their three children, now young adult professionals. Isabel has worked in renowned organizations, such as Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Philips Medical Systems, and The Sherwin-Williams Company. She earned an Associate of Arts from Cuyahoga Community College and a BA in Marketing Communications from Cleveland State University.

  
As a professional translator and entrepreneur, Isabel created and registered her business in 2002, IG GLOBAL SOLUTIONS, a certified local provider of Spanish and Portuguese translations and bilingual marketing services. Previously, Isabel worked in renowned organizations, such as Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Philips Medical Systems, and The Sherwin-Williams Company. 
Isabel is passionate about music and the arts, especially the music and culture of Perú, her beloved country.

 

Through the years, Isabel has been active in the Latin American community in Northeast Ohio and is the creator and moderator of the Facebook and Yahoo groups Comunidad Latina de Cleveland, and Peruvians in the Midwest. Her community calling led her to contribute to cultural and faith-based boards and steering committees, such as Café Bellas Artes, Cleveland Public Theater, Señor de los Milagros Ministerio Pastoral, and LatinUs Theater.

 

Since 2019 she serves on the Board of the Northeast Ohio Translators Association, as their PR Chair. Isabel is one of the founders of the Peruvian Cultural Association of Northeast Ohio (PERUCAN-OH) and currently serves on its Executive Committee as Vice President and interim PR Chair.
