About Our Peruvian Garden Project
We are thrilled to present our vision for the Peruvian Cultural Garden, an authentic and mesmerizing space that will pay tribute to Perú’s rich cultural heritage. Situated within the Cleveland Cultural Gardens on Martin Luther King Boulevard, between the African American and Ukrainian cultural gardens, it will provide visitors with an inviting space where they can experience Peruvian history, architecture, and artistic expression. While we are at the early stages of our ambitious design process, our goal is to create a place that celebrates our history, creativity, and contributions through the centuries – from the pre-Inca civilizations to modern times. A place where we can feature architecture reminiscent of the Nazca Lines and Machu Picchu, among others. A place where we can provide a platform for events that showcase the works of world-renowned Peruvian craftsmen, artists, writers, and musicians.

The Vision for Our Peruvian Garden.
Our bold vision for the Peruvian Garden starts with a striking entry portal that welcomes visitors and invites them to explore Perú’s natural beauty. The portal’s intricate patterns and vibrant colors lead you to a beautifully designed stone walkway evocative of the great Inca Trail that leads visitors through the various elements of the garden, setting the tone for the immersive experience to come.
The masterful design aims to subtly recreate the diversity of Peru’s natural environments, such as the Coastal region represented by the beauty and mystique of the Nazca lines, and the Andean region, which will feature landscaping that gives a glimpse of the imposing beauty of the Andean Mountain range. Each region, including the Rainforest area, will be enhanced by hidden gardens with native plants that will enchant and educate the visitors.
To complete the vision, the Garden should include a performing stage and amphitheater where guests can enjoy traditional Peruvian music, dance performances, exhibitions, and hands-on activities during special events. Our Peruvian Garden will surely be a true masterpiece of design and creativity that celebrates Perú’s rich and diverse culture.
With its stunning elements, hidden gardens, and vibrant performances, the garden promises to be a place of inspiration, education, and community engagement.

Significant Progress and Achievements
PERUCAN-OH was born in 2019 out of a grassroots movement of Peruvian individuals who envisioned a unified community dedicated to promove and preserve Perú’s cultural heritage in our region. Since then, our leadership team has worked tirelessly to create a strong vision for our organization, to overcome challenges, and to energize the community around us to share and support our goals. We were thrilled to celebrate with the community being awarded our petition for a cultural garden and have started our fundraising journey to make the vision a reality. We have achieved important milestones and have learned much as a team and individuals along the way, and we look forward to continuing to grow.
