Katy Alfaro

About me

Katy Alfaro is an Occupational Health and Safety Professional with 18+ years of experience. She holds an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de Lima, in Lima, Peru, and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Management from Marshall University, West Virginia. She has worked in different industries developing and implementing programs to keep workers safe at their workplaces.

 

During her career, Katy has performed in different roles in companies located in Cleveland such as AECOM, Lincoln Electric, and Rockwell Automation. She has been one of the few female Latinas achieving a leadership role in the manufacturing industry. Her passion for the human factor has driven
her to develop innovative ways to engage employees and employers to strive for better safety programs.


Katy became a U.S citizen in 2017 and has always been involved with different corporate initiatives promoting diversity and inclusion in Cleveland. In 2020, she was selected as a member of the Cultural Proficiency Council of the Hudson City Schools and was part of the 1st cohort of The 100+ Latinos that CLE Must Know led by Am More Consulting. In 2021, Katy led the Peruvian Delegation at Flag Parade at One World Day of the Cleveland Cultural
Gardens.

 

She is passionate about connecting and promoting Peruvian culture.
Katy recently founded Innovations 100 LLC, an Occupational Health and Safety Consulting company. One of her goals is to help minority businesses to become safer and healthier workplaces.


In her personal life, Katy is a spiritual person who has knowledge about Kabbalah studies, Hebrew Letters, and healthy nutrition and believes that there are no coincidences in this life.


Katy has explored many natural alternative healing methods including family constellations, New German Medicine, SAAMA, Quantum Healing and other transgenerational healing methods.
