About me

Mónica A. Olivera is from Lima, Perú, and came to the US in 1996. Monica has a License in Psychology from Universidad Particular Ricardo Palma, in Lima, Perú, which has opened professional opportunities for her with the National Alliance for Mental Illness, NAMI of Greater Cleveland as the Hispanic Outreach and Education Coordinator and previously with the Alzheimer’s Association. 


She finds true satisfaction in working with and for the Hispanic/Latino population. Monica currently serves as the Co-Chair for the Northeast Ohio Association for Hispanic Health NOAHH, and she is a member of the Teatro Público de Cleveland Leadership Committee with Cleveland Public Theatre where she has been acting since 2014.

  

Mónica is married and has two children, César and Alyssa.  She lives in Cleveland with her husband, Arturo, and their two dogs, Chasqui and Daisy. In her free time, she enjoys working on her miniature houses, or puzzles, listening to music and dancing, or cooking Peruvian food which she deeply enjoys.
